Kevan W. Lamm is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication at the University of Georgia, USA. He received a master’s degree from the University of Florida in 2013. Then, he completed his Ph.D. studies in Leadership Development and Evaluation there in 2015. He has been President of the LR Brand, Inc., Gainesville, FL, since 2012. He conducts research in Urban/Rural Sociology, Quantitative Social Research, and Qualitative Social Research.
Alexa J. Lamm is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication at the University of Georgia (UGA), USA. Dr. Lamm received her Ph.D. from the University of Florida (UF) in 2011. She was both an assistant and then associate professor at UF, where she also served as the Associate Director of the UF/IFAS Center for Public Issues Education. She transitioned to her current role at UGA in 2018. She is considered a leader in the field of social science research as it relates to understanding how targeted communication and educational practice impacts the decision-making process and the ultimate adoption of new scientific technologies to advance agricultural production while maintaining a sustainable environment. Dr. Lamm has received over USD 70M in total contracts and grants, published over 225 peer-reviewed journal articles, received the Borlaug CAST Communication Award in 2020, and is a Fellow of both the American Association for Agricultural Education and the Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education.
Dr. Laura Warner is a Professor of Extension Education in the Department of Agricultural Education and Communication and theaines Center for Land Use Efficiency at the University of Florida in Gville, Florida, USA. She holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in environmental horticulture from the University of Florida and a joint Ed.D. in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication from Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University. Dr. Warner specializes in translating behavioral theory into practical action and understanding behavioral influences on the adoption of best practices. She conducts quantitative research to understand factors that influence behavior change, with an emphasis on water and natural resources protection among key target audiences such as urban residents, nursery growers, and farmers. She is especially interested in how social norms influence adoption decisions and how innovations are diffused throughout social systems. Dr. Warner’s extension programming translates her research findings into impactful extension, outreach, communication, and policy recommendations that bridge the gap between innovation and adoption, and she concentrates on enhancing extension and outreach professionals’ program development and evaluation competencies.
Jessica Holt is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication at the University of Georgia, USA. Her background is in print design, photography, and journalism within the agricultural industry. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Education & Communication from the University of Florida (2015). At the University of Georgia, she serves as the undergraduate coordinator for the Agricultural Communication, teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Agricultural and Environmental Science Communication, and conducts research. Her research focuses on utilizing innovative media and approaches to identify ways in which to engage consumers, policy makers, farmers/producers, and researchers in creating impactful strategies for the future of agriculture, the environment, and society.
