Garret Suen is a Professor in the Department of Bacteriology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He completed bachelors degrees in Biological Sciences (2000), and in Computer Sciences (2002) at the University of Calgary, Canada. He then completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science at the same university in 2004, and later finished a Ph.D. in Biology at Syracuse University in 2008. Dr. Suen was a Postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Cameron Currie at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research focuses on the areas of Herbivore-associated gut microbial ecology with a particular interest in rumen microbiology.
