Dr. Yoichi Takenaka received MEng and PhD degrees in computer science from Osaka University, Japan, in 1997 and 2000, respectively. He was an assistant professor from 2000 to 2002 at Osaka University. He was an associate professor with the Department of Bioinformatic Engineering, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Osaka University, from 2002 to 2017. He has been a professor with the Faculty of Informatics, Kansai University, Japan, since 2017. Since 2017, he has also been a guest professor at the Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University. His research interests include gene expression analysis, high-throughput sequence analysis, legal informatics, and data science.
