Prof. Dr. Junang Liu holds a bachelor's degree in forest protection from Central South Forestry University and a master's degree and a doctorate in forest management. He has visited Canada, the USA, and the UK many times for visits and academic exchanges. He works in the College of Forestry at Central South University of Forestry and Technology. He is a second-level professor (PhD) and a doctoral supervisor. He is the head of the forest protection discipline of the School of Forestry of Central South University of Forestry and Technology. He is also the director of the Key Laboratory of Pest Control of Southern Plantations of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration. He is also the vice president of the Hunan Plant Pathology Society, the vice president of the Forestry Pest Control Innovation Alliance, the director of the Hunan Forestry Pest Control Professional Committee, a member of the Hunan Forestry Bureau's Major Forestry and Grassland Biological Disaster Control Expert Committee, and the executive director of the Precious Tree Species Branch of the Chinese Forestry Society. His research interests mainly focus on the integrated management of forest pests, healthy forest management, and forest economy.
Prof. Dr. Guoying Zhou is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Central South University of Forestry and Technology. Prof. Dr. Zhou serves as Vice Dean of the School of Forestry at Central South University of Forestry and Technology. In 2005, Prof. Dr. Zhou was sent by the state to visit the Faculty of Forestry at the University of Toronto, Canada (postdoctoral fellow). Prof. Dr. Zhou is currently the executive director of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Forestry Society, a member of the China Forestry Biogenetic Engineering Safety Committee, and the executive director of the Hunan Microbiology Society. In 2000, Prof. Dr. Zhou was elected as a member of the Zhuzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China. In 2001, Prof. Dr. Zhou was identified as a training target for young backbone teachers in ordinary colleges and universities in Hunan Province. In 2002, Prof. Dr. Zhou won the 8th Young Teacher Award of the Ho Ying-Tong Education Foundation. In 2005, Prof. Dr. Zhou was selected as a third-level candidate for the Hunan New Century 121 Talent Project. Prof. Dr. Zhou’s research interest mainly focuses on Microbiology.
