Dr. Agussalim, SE., MS., is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS), Indonesia, with expertise in resource economics, fiscal decentralization, and regional development planning. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1990 and a Master’s degree in Resource Economics in 1998, both from Universitas Hasanuddin. He later completed his Ph.D. in Economics at Universitas Padjadjaran in 2006, focusing on economic resource management and public policy. With over three decades of experience, Dr. Agussalim has significantly contributed to teaching, research, and public policy. His academic focus centers on local economic development, public expenditure analysis, and poverty alleviation strategies, emphasizing sustainable regional growth. Dr. Agussalim is also a member of the Regional Research Council of South Sulawesi, contributing to research efforts aimed at improving regional economic policies. His expertise has been sought by national bodies and international organizations, including collaborations with the World Bank and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He has actively participated in high-impact policy discussions, influencing economic strategies at both local and national levels. He is an active member of the Indonesian Economics Association (ISEI).
Nursini is a Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS). She specializes in development economics, macroeconomics, and public economics. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universitas Hasanuddin in 1990 and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of the Philippines Diliman in 1994. Nursini completed her Ph.D. in Economics at Universitas Padjadjaran in 2006, where her research focused on fiscal policy, economic openness, and growth. Her research interests include fiscal decentralization, poverty reduction, and gender-responsive development, emphasizing addressing regional disparities across Indonesia. Nursini has led and participated in national research projects funded by prestigious institutions, such as Indonesia’s Ministry of Education and the World Bank. Nursini’s scholarly contributions appear in national and international journals, including Scopus-indexed publications. Her research provides policy insights into the effectiveness of decentralization and public spending and the socioeconomic benefits of empowering women through gender-responsive budgeting. Nursini supervises undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students, helping them research topics related to public economics, development planning, and regional growth. Nursini is a member of the Indonesian Economics Association (ISEI).
Dr. Sultan Suhab, SE., MS., is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS), and serves as the Head of the Center for Development Policy at the same institution. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1994 and a Master’s degree in Development Economics and Planning in 1997, both from Universitas Hasanuddin. In 2010, he completed his Ph.D. in Development Economics at Universitas Padjadjaran, with a focus on economic planning and regional development. With over two decades of academic and professional experience, Dr. Suhab has built a reputation as an expert in development planning, public finance, and regional development. His consultancy work has focused on enhancing regional economic development through strategic investment and improving public financial management to foster inclusive growth. His research outputs are widely published in national and international journals, including studies on public investment, local governance, and strategies to address economic disparities. He has actively participated in policy discussions on decentralization and public investment, offering strategic recommendations to government bodies. In addition to his academic and consultancy work, he is a dedicated member of the Indonesian Economics Association (ISEI) and currently serves as the Makassar and East Indonesian branch chairman.
Randi Kurniawan, M.Sc., is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS). He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 2011 and his Master’s degree in Economics in 2018, both from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). His academic journey has equipped him with solid expertise in socioeconomic development, public policy analysis, and poverty alleviation strategies. Randi’s research evaluates the socio-economic impacts of technological innovations and public interventions, particularly in addressing poverty and inequality. His interests span poverty reduction, child welfare, and public policy evaluation. Randi’s work highlights how digital technologies and public policies can shape economic outcomes, especially in underdeveloped regions. His recent studies include investigations into the socioeconomic impacts of seaweed cultivation, determinants of child marriage, and the role of internet access in poverty alleviation in Indonesia. He has led and collaborated on multiple research projects funded by internal grants from Universitas Hasanuddin, further advancing the university’s research agenda. Randi has also published his findings in reputable national and international academic journals, contributing valuable insights to development economics and policy evaluation. His research offers practical recommendations for policymakers to improve public welfare and economic inclusion.
Salman Samir, M.Sc., is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Universitas Hasanuddin, specializing in public economics, environmental economics, and international trade. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics of Development from Universitas Hasanuddin in 2015 and completed his Master’s degree in Economics at Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2019. Since joining Universitas Hasanuddin in 2020, Salman has actively contributed to both academic research and policy advisory roles. His research focuses on environmental economics and international trade, with particular interest in the economic implications of sustainable policies, trade reforms, and household welfare. His studies provide practical insights for policymakers balancing economic growth with ecological sustainability. He has published his research in several national and international journals, gaining recognition for his contributions to monetary policy and development analysis. Salman actively engages in collaborative research projects with national and international organizations, including Bappenas, the Conservation Strategy Fund, KONEKSI, and the Partnership for Australia–Indonesia Research (PAIR). Salman regularly presents his work at international conferences, contributing to development policies and welfare analysis discussions.
Dr. A. Tawakkal, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA., is a Senior Lecturer at Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang and a faculty member in the postgraduate program at Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS). He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Universitas Hasanuddin in 1992, followed by a Master’s degree in Accounting from Universitas Padjadjaran in 1999. Dr. Tawakkal completed his Ph.D. in Accounting at Universitas Padjadjaran in 2008, focusing on public financial management and governance. His research interests span participatory budgeting, institutional development, and public financial management, emphasizing enhancing financial efficiency in local and regional governance. He also plays a critical role in capacity development, facilitating numerous training programs for government auditors and financial officers in collaboration with institutions such as the Indonesian Supreme Audit Board (BPK) and regional government bodies. He is a member of the Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants (IAI) and the Indonesian Economics Association (ISEI). As a Certified Public Accountant (CA), Dr. Tawakkal upholds professional standards while advising government institutions on improving financial governance and budgeting processes. Dr. Tawakkal’s contributions extend beyond academia, as he actively participates in professional organizations and provides strategic input for policy development at the local and national levels.
