Dr. Gevorg Sargsyan is a faculty member at
Lamar University, where he teaches a wide range of courses at both graduate
and undergraduate levels. His courses include Finance, Financial Statement
Analysis, Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, Student Managed
Investment Fund, Real Estate Investments, Economics, etc. His research
interests are diverse, spanning finance, risk management, real estate finance
and investments, energy business risk management and finance, local economic
development, finance regulation, strategic management, and the financial
stability of non-profit organizations. Moreover, Dr. Sargsyan has played a
pivotal role in securing grants and awards totaling USD 1,363,010.
Dr. Sargsyan's recent research pursuits
have broadened to encompass corporate finance, financial reporting,
accounting standards, multidisciplinary research with a finance/economics
component, military finance, real estate regulation, and property rights. He
is an active member of several university and college committees, including
the Faculty Senate, Undergraduate Research Advisory Board, and the Study
Abroad Advisory Council. Additionally, he oversees the College of Business's
(COB) international relations and project-based study-abroad programs,
demonstrating his commitment to academic excellence and global education.
