Danial Shaikh, MD, is an accomplished interventional gastroenterologist specializing in luminal interventions and advanced therapeutic endoscopy at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. He completed his medical education at Ziauddin University in Karachi, Pakistan, followed by an internal medicine residency and a gastroenterology fellowship at BronxCare Health System, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, where he also served as chief resident and chief fellow. Dr. Shaikh further honed his skills during an advanced endoscopy fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center, University of South Florida, and later at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, where he focused on third space endoscopy. His board certifications include gastroenterology and internal medicine. Dr. Shaikh has clinical and research interests primarily in third space endoscopy and gastrointestinal oncology. His dedication to advancing the field of endoscopy through patient care, research and education has established him as a respected figure in his specialty.
