Dr. Francesco Baudi
works as an assistant professor in the Department of Experimental and Clinical
Medicine at The Magna Græcia University of Catanzaro, Catanzaro, Italy. He
obtained a degree in medicine and a Ph.D. degree in molecular oncology at the
University of Reggio Calabria, then specialized in clinical pathology at
the Sapienza University of Rome. Dr. Baudi’s fields of interest include the
mechanisms of inherited cancer susceptibility and molecular analysis of breast
and ovarian cancers in Calabria, where he identified the first Italian founder
mutation of the BRCA1 gene.
Dr. Francesco
Paduano is the head of the Medical and Molecular Genetics Section at Marrelli
Health SRL and a researcher at the Tecnologica Research Institute in Crotone,
Italy. He completed his PhD studies in molecular oncology at the University of
Catanzaro in 2012 and was awarded the Gianni Bonadonna Prize for new drugs in
oncology in 2013. He serves as a review editor for several international
scientific journals, including “Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology” and
“Frontiers in Oncology”. His research disciplines include medical genetics,
stem cell biology, and molecular oncology, and his interests include
regenerative medicine, cancer genetics, and rare genetic disorders.
