Author Biographies

Dr. Odra Angélica Saucedo-Delgado is a lecturer and researcher at the School of Economics and Business at the Universidad Anahuac in Mexico. Their academic background is multidisciplinary, with a particular focus on economics. It includes a master's degree and a doctoral degree in development studies from the University of East Anglia. Furthermore, they are a candidate for the National System of Researchers in Mexico. Their primary research interests encompass gender, labour markets, and social protection. Recently, my research has focused on care policies, particularly those designed to support the elderly. My recent publications include "Obesity and Overweight among the Poor and Marginalized in Rural Mexico," among others. My ongoing research is evidenced by the following publications: "Impact Analysis of the Effect of School Breakfasts on Children Aged Five to Eleven" (2023), "Effects of Access to Social Security on Health and Ageing Conditions for the Population Over Fifty" (2021), and "Human Rights, Best Practices, and Corporate Social Responsibility: A Qualitative Approach in Family Businesses" (2020). These works demonstrate the impact of my research and ongoing contributions to the field.
María Rosa Nieto holds a degree in Actuarial Science from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), a Master's degree in Economic Analysis and a Ph.D. in Quantitative Methods from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. She is a professor and researcher at the School of Economics and Business of the Universidad Anáhuac México. She teaches Econometrics and Finance. Her main research interests are: Financial Econometrics, Risk Management, Computational Econometrics, Machine Learning, Forecasting and Applied Econometrics to Social Sciences. Member of the National System of Researchers Level I in Mexico. She is Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Research and Technology. Her recent publications are "Direct versus Iterated Multi-period Value-at-Risk Forecasts (2022)" and "An Approach to Measure the Performance and the Efficiency of Future Airport Infrastructure (2021).
Dr. Marcela De-La-Sota-Riva-Echánove is a Professor and researcher at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico. She received her Ph.D. at Universidad Anáhuac. Her academic background is in economics; she has a master's degree in finance and a doctorate in education. Her main lines of research are public health policies in the context of poverty, care policies, and ethical leadership. Among her most recent publications are "Obesity and Overweight in Poor and Marginalized Populations in Rural Mexico: Impact Analysis of the Effect of School Breakfasts on Children Aged Five to Eleven" (2023), "Personalistic Leadership. A leadership model for organizations (2022)"; "Leadership based on Personalism. A research proposal (2018)"; and "The Poor Face of Diabetes in Mexico" (2018).
