Haifu Wang is a
Distinguished Professor and Head of the Department of Unmanned Aviation
Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology. He received a BS, an MS, and a
PhD from Beijing Institute of Technology in 1989, 1992, and 1996, respectively.
He is the chief engineer or technical chief of several national key projects.
In 2019, he was selected as a valid candidate for the co-optation of
academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in the Division of
Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering, and in 2021, he was included in the second
round of the selection list of the Faculty of Machinery and Vehicle Engineering
for the co-optation of academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He
is the recipient of the 2021 National May Day Labor Medal and the 2017 Beijing
May Day Labor Medal. His research interest is reactive destruction munition
warhead technology.
Pengwan Chen is a
Research Fellow of the State Key Laboratory of Explosion Science and Technology
(Beijing Institute of Technology) and Head of the School of Materials Science
and Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology. He is a vice director of the
Committee of Explosion and Safety Technology, China Ordnance Society, and an
Executive member of the Beijing Society of Engineering Blasting. He received a
BS and an MS from Kunming University of Science and Technology in 1993 and 1996,
respectively, and a PhD from Beijing Institute of Technology in 1999. He worked
as a Post-Doctoral fellow at the Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of
Sciences during 1999-2001. His research interests include dynamic processing of
materials and dynamic synthesis of materials by shock waves (explosive welding,
explosive powder compaction, material synthesis by shock-induced phase
transition and chemical reaction, material modification by shock wave), dynamic
mechanical behavior of materials, numerical simulation on explosion and impact
problems, engineering blasting technology, safety measurement and evaluation of
explosives.
