Dr. Daria S. Novopashina is a Senior Researcher in the RNA Chemistry Laboratory at the Institute of Chemical Biology and Fundamental Medicine of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science and a senior lecturer at Novosibirsk State University. She completed her PhD studies in Bioorganic Chemistry at the Institute of Chemical Biology and Fundamental Medicine SB RAS, and her Ph.D. thesis focused on the synthesis of conjugates of modified oligoribonucleotides and their application in gene
expression inhibition. She currently works on the investigation of hybrid formation between carbon nanomaterial and oligonucleotides, the synthesis and study of new types of fluorescent oligonucleotide probes for nucleic acid detection, and the design of a new photoregulated molecular biological system with nucleic acids, such as siRNAs and guide RNAs in a CRISPR/Cas9 system. Her research interests include nucleic acid chemistry and the application of oligonucleotides as instruments of molecular biology and fundamenta
