Prof. Dr. Hongxun Yao is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Computer Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology. She is also the Executive Director of the Chinese Society of Image and Graphics, Executive Member of the Multimedia Committee of the Chinese Computer Society, and Executive Director of the Heilongjiang Artificial Intelligence Society. She received her PhD in Computer Application Technology from Harbin Institute of Technology (2003). Her research won the second prize of the Heilongjiang Province Natural Science and Technology Award (2015 and 2019). In 2021, she won the “Outstanding Computer Professional Teacher Award” in China. Her research areas include computer vision intelligence, multimedia data analysis and understanding, affective computing, artificial intelligence model theory, media technology and art, and smart agriculture applications.
