Dr. Rasheed Akbar is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Jiangsu University, China. He earned his Ph.D. in Entomology in January 2022 from The University of Agriculture Peshawar, Pakistan, where he studied sustainable pest management strategies. Since 2016, Dr. Akbar has also served as a lecturer at the University of Haripur, Pakistan, where he has mentored students and advanced research in entomology and plant sciences. Dr. Akbar's research spans integrated pest management, plant ecology, invasive plant species, host plant resistance, and stored product pest control. His current postdoctoral work focuses on the influence of soil cadmium pollution on the invasion of non-native plant species and their resistance to herbivores, highlighting critical interactions between pollution and ecological competition. An active author, Dr. Akbar has contributed numerous publications and book chapters, emphasizing practical and sustainable approaches to pest management.
