Dr. Casper Boongaling Agaton is an Associate Professor at the Department of Community and Environmental Resource Planning (DCERP), University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). He completed his PhD in International Development Studies at Ruhr University of Bochum and his postdoctoral research at Utrecht University. His current projects include nature-based solutions for wastewater treatment, waste-to-energy regulatory review, nuclear fuel cycle program, payment for ecosystem services, energy transition, circular economy, and local development planning. He serves as an Associate Editor at Springer Nature Business & Economics and Applied Energy and as the Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Human Ecology and Sustainability.
