Prof. Dr. Maria Włodarczyk-Makuła received her M.A. and Ph.D. from the Czestochowa University of Technology and Silesian University of Technology in 1983 and 1992, respectively. She is now a Full Professor at the Faculty of Infrastructure and Environment of Czestochowa University of Technology. Her research interests mainly include water and wastewater treatment and wastewater and sewage sludge engineering including the fates of micropollutants such as pharmaceutics, retardants, PFAS, PAHs, PCBs, and other endocrine-disrupting compounds.
