Prof. Dr. Se-Jin Choi is currently a Professor at the Department
of Architectural Engineering, Wonkwang University, Iksan, Republic of Korea. He
received his PhD from the Department of Architectural Engineering, Chungnam
National University, in 2003. He served as a Principal Researcher at SAMPYO
R&D Center, SAMPYO Corporation (2003-2010), as a Visiting Researcher in the Construction
Materials Group, the University of California at Berkeley, CA, USA (2007-2008), as Principal
Researcher at POSCO Global R&D Center (2010-2015), and as a Professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering, Wonkwang University (2015-2024). His research interests include the use of supplementary cementing materials, self-consolidating concrete, fiber-reinforced concrete, high-strength/high-performance concrete, self-healing concrete, geopolymers, the use of industrial by-products
in high-performance concrete, and concrete durability.
