Prof. Xi Yang is currently a professor at Xidian University. She received her bachelor's degree in electronic information engineering (undergraduate and master's degree) and her doctorate in pattern recognition and intelligent systems from Xidian University in 2010 and 2015, respectively. From 2013 to 2014, she was jointly trained at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Prof. Xi Yang's main research directions include computer vision and machine learning, pattern recognition and computational intelligence, visual perception and brain-like computing, and large-scale image retrieval. She has won the Shaanxi Province Outstanding Youth Award, Shaanxi Province "Young Science and Technology Star," Shaanxi Province "Excellent Doctoral Dissertation," the Second Prize of Natural Science from the Chinese Society of Image and Graphics, and the ACM China Rising Star Award (Xi'an Chapter). In addition, Prof. Xi Yang is also a member of the Youth Work Committee of the Chinese Society of Image and Graphics, a member of the Remote Sensing Image Committee of the Chinese Society of Image and Graphics, and a member of the Multimedia Committee of the Chinese Computer Society.
