Dr. Wolfgang Willenbacher is a hematologist with a specialization in Lymphoma and Myeloma. He is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine V at the Medical University of Innsbruck in Austria, a position he has held since 2018. He has a vast amount of work experience, including serving as a Senior Registrar in Internal Medicine V at the Medical University of Innsbruck for 13 years, from 2005 to 2018. Prior to that, he held various residency positions, including at the Hospital Villingen-Schwenningen in Germany, the St. Josefs Hospital in Zell/Mosel, Germany, the Center for BMT-Oncology in Idar-Oberstein, Germany, and the Tumorbiology Center in Freiburg, Germany. He also completed an internship at the Tumorbiology Center in Freiburg, Germany. Dr. Willenbacher received his MD from the Medical Faculty in Heidelberg in 1995. He has additional training in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Hematology & Oncology, and Clinical Trial Management. Dr. Willenbacher has participated in over 25 clinical trials in the field of hematology and oncology and has published more than 70 papers. His research areas are Blood Disorders and Transfusion, and he performs ASCT, CAR-T, and Immuno-Chemotherapy.
