Prof. Dr. Jacek C. Szepietowski is a full professor at the Department of Dermato-Venereology, 4th Military Hospital and Faculty of Medicine, Wroclaw University of Sicence and Technolo, Wroclaw, Poland. He has served as the director of the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2007–2011). He has also served as a vice president of the International Society of Dermatology (2009–2013) and a vice-rector for University Development of the Medical University in Wroclaw (2011–2020). He was a member of the Executive Committee of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (2018–2020). He is a president of the European Society for Dermatology and Psychiatry, immediate past president of the Polish Dermatological Society, and past president of the International Forum for the Study of Itch. He is a board member of the International Society of Dermatology, the Euro-Asian Association of Dermatovenereologists, and the International Forum for the Study of Itch. He also served as a member of the Council of the European Confederation of Medical Mycology (until 2008). He is the chair of the Education Committee of the International Society of Dermatology and chair of the Project Proposal and Review Committee of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. He is an author or co-author of more than 700 scientific articles, 17 books, more than 70 book chapters, and more than 300 congress communications. His h-index (Web of Science) is 70.
