Prof. Yunjiang Feng is a distinguished natural products chemist renowned for her research in the chemical biology of natural compounds. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Peking University, followed by a Ph.D. in marine natural products from James Cook University. She further honed her expertise through postdoctoral research in marine-derived fungi at the University of Canterbury. She currently holds the positions of research leader and Associate Professor at the Institute for Biomedicine and Glycomics, Griffith University, with a primary focus on natural product chemistry and its intersection with neurological disease biology. Her research integrates the vast chemical diversity of natural products with high-throughput screening methodologies to expedite the discovery of biologically active compounds. She harbors a particular fascination for employing natural products as chemical probes to delve into the mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration.
