Author Biographies

Dr. Bonoua Faye completed his first Master’s degree in geography, specializing in climatology, at Cheikh Anta Diop University in 2016, located in Senegal. The following year, he earned a European Master’s in Environmental and Energy Management from the Federation for European Education (FEDE). With over two years (2017–2019) of professional experience in natural resource management and environmental impact assessment, Dr. Faye continues to serve as an independent consultant at the QES office in Senegal. Since October 2023, he has held the position of Research Fellow at the School of Public Administration and Law at Northeast Agricultural University in Harbin, China. Dr. Faye’s research interests are extensive and include land-use systems, agricultural economics, agricultural development, sustainable agriculture, and the broader fields of geography, management, environment, ecology, and regional and rural development. He has authored several papers and possesses a robust portfolio of research publications in world-leading journals indexed in the Web of Science. Dr. Faye is actively seeking collaboration opportunities with fellow researchers.

Yuheng Li is an Associate Researcher at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Nanjing Agricultural University in 2006, his Master’s degree from China Agricultural University in 2008, and his Ph.D. from the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, in 2011. He has been a Young Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Hunan Agricultural University (Social Science Edition) since 2023, a Visiting Professor at the School of Public Administration and Law, Northeast Agricultural University, since 2022, an Associate Editor of the Journal of Rural Studies since 2021, Secretary General of the “Belt and Road” Poverty Reduction and Development Alliance since 2020, and Secretary General of the Agricultural Geography and Land Engineering Commission, International Geographical Union, since 2016.
