Dr. Saber is working on the Chem-Fish-Plastic project under the European Union (EU)-funded Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Cordoba (UCO), Spain. He received his PhD (2021) in environmental engineering from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China. He also received an MS.C.(2016) from the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan. Before becoming an MSCA fellow, he was a research assistant at the Agriculture Research Center in Egypt from 2011 onward. His research focuses on water quality problems and monitoring micropollutants in different aspects of the environment, including the atmosphere, focusing on the occurrence and fates of pesticides, heavy metals, and volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds (VOCs & SVOCs). Risk assessment of chemicals is also of interest. He has several published papers in high-quality international journals.
