Prof. Dr. Haijun Yan received a BS in Fluid Machinery and
Fluid Engineering from Beijing Agricultural Engineering University in 1996. He
received an MS in Mechanical Design and Theory and a PhD in Agricultural
Engineering from China Agricultural University in 1999 and 2005, respectively.
He participated in an international course on “Advanced irrigation systems for
intensive crop production” organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
(MASHAV) and Ministry of Agriculture (CINADCO), State of Israel, from May to
June 2005. He conducted his post-doctoral research in the Graduate School of
Science and Technology at Niigata University, Japan, from October 2006 to March
2008. He served as the deputy secretary of the Party Committee for the College
of Water Resources & Civil Engineering from 2008 to 2010. He is a professor
at the College of Water Resources and Civil Engineering, China Agricultural
