Prof. Michail J. Beliatis currently serves as an Associate Professor at the Department of Business Development and Technology at Aarhus University. He completed his MSc in Communications and Signal Processing at Newcastle University in 2003 and received his PhD in Nanotechnology at the University of Surrey in 2012. Furthermore, he worked as an RI&D Researcher at the University of Surrey (2008–2014) and at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) (2014–2016). He then worked in IoT technologies for Robots at the Danish Technological Institute in 2017. His research interests mainly include the Internet of Things (IoT), smart homes, home automation, and Industry 4.0.
Prof. Calogero Maria Oddo currently serves as an Associate Prof of Bioengineering, SSSA, and Adj Prof of Neuromorphic Engineering, Bionics Eng MSc, UNIPI, and SSSA. He is also the Head of the Neuro-Robotic Touch Lab. He received his MSc and BSc in Electronic Eng, from the University of Pisa (UNIPI) in 2007 and completed his PhD in Innovative Technologies, BioRobotics, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (SSSA) in 2011. Moreover, he worked as an Assistant Prof (2012–2016) and as a Tenure-Track Assistant Prof (2016–2019) in BioEngineering, SSSA. His research interests mainly include design and experimentation of tactile sensors.
