Prof. Dr. Zoran Vlaovic is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood
Technology, Department of Furniture and Wood in Constructions (2001-). He
graduated in 2000 and defended his PhD thesis (2009) in comfort factors of
office chairs. His work in furniture construction, design and quality of
seating and reclining furniture, ergonomics of sitting and sleeping, comfort of
furniture for offices, schools and home use has resulted in more than
40 publications and presentations, lectures, and courses. He has memberships in
the Croatian Ergonomics Society, Croatian Forestry Society and Croatian Standards
Institute. His research interests include sitting, sleeping, ergonomics, office
and school chairs, mattresses, seating and lying (dis)comfort, bio-sensors,
and thermal comfort.
