Dr. Mariana Barros de Cerqueira e Silva is a Professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Federal University of Amazonas. Dr. Silva holds a degree in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Bahia (2015), a Master's degree in Food Sciences from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Federal University of Bahia (2017), and a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the Institute of Chemistry of the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho". Dr. Silva worked as a Visiting Professor on the Professional Training Course for Pharmacy Clerks of the National Service for Commercial Learning (SENAC-BA). Dr. Silva worked as a Substitute Teacher at the Society for Education and Social Promotion Imaculada Conceição, Externato Santa Teresinha (Araraquara, Brazil), teaching the subject of Chemistry. Dr. Silva has experience in the areas of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Bromatological Analysis, working mainly on the following topics: legume proteins, the synthesis of biomolecules, quality control, the development of methodologies applied to High-Performance Liquid Chromatography, the physical analysis of food and medicines, food biochemistry and in vivo experiments.
Dr. Rone Aparecido De Grandis is a Post-Doctoral Researcher in Inorganic Chemistry at the Federal University of São Carlos, São Carlos, Brazil. He is also a Medical Doctor at the School of Medicine, Centro Universitário de Araraquara, Araraquara, Brazil. He earned, a Ph.D. at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sao Paulo State University, São Paulo, Brazil. He has a Student Membership at the European Society of Toxicology In Vitro, Berlin, Germany. He received funding for “Toxicogenetics evaluation and study of antiproliferative response mechanisms of ruthenium-based metallodrugs containing naphthoquinones ligands in tumor cells growing in conventional and 3D systems” from 2018 to 2020, which was supported by the São Paulo State Research Support Foundation (Sao Paulo, Brazil). He conducts research in Pharmacy and has experience in Cell Biology, focusing on the Biology of Cancer and the Development of Anticancer Metallodrugs.

Prof. Dr. Fernando Rogério Pavan is a Professor of Microbiology at the Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, São Paulo State University (UNESP), Sao Paulo, Brazil. He graduated in Biomedicine in 2004, received his Master’s Degree in Biosciences and Biotechnology applied to Pharmacy in 2008, and received a Ph.D. at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, UNESP, Araraquara Campus, in 2010. In 2011, he began his Post-Doctorate at FCF/UNESP, which he completed in 2012. He has been the Head of the Department of Biological Sciences for two consecutive terms (2020 to 2024), President of the Permanent Research Committee (2016/2017), a Permanent Member of the Graduate Program in Biosciences and Biotechnology applied to Pharmacy (CAPES 7) at FCF/UNESP, and a Master's and Doctoral Advisor and Postdoctoral Supervisor of the same program. His research fields include Microbiology, Medicinal Chemistry, and New Drugs against Tuberculosis.
Prof. Dr. Marcelo Santos Castilho is a professor at the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy, Ondina Campus, Universidade Federal da Bahia, Salvador, Brazil. He is also a part of the permanent staff of the postgraduate course in Pharmacy at UFBA. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biochemical Pharmacy from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1997), a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (2000), and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of São Paulo (2004). He served as vice-coordinator between 2009 and 2013 and held the position of coordinator between 2013 and 2014. He currently holds the position of vice-coordinator in this same program. Additionally, he has served as treasurer (2018-2010), vice director (2010-2012), and director (2012-2014) of the Medicinal Chemistry and Biological Chemistry division of the SBQ. He has experience in the area of Chemistry and Protein Crystallography, with an emphasis on Medicinal Chemistry, working mainly on the identification and planning of drugs against topical diseases and modulators of bacterial virulence factors through in silico techniques (docking, QSAR), in vitro assays (enzymatic kinetics, ITC and thermofluo) and phenotypic tests.

Prof. Dr. Ederlan Souza Ferreira is a Professor at the Department of Bromatological Analysis, School of Pharmacy, Federal University of Bahia, Salvador, Brazil. He graduated in Nutrition in 2006, and received his Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition in 2008 and his PhD in Food and Nutrition in 2013, from the Department of Food and Nutrition, School of Pharmacy, University of São Paulo (Araraquara, Brazil). He was a Post-Doctorate Researcher at the Institute of Chemistry of UNESP in 2014. He has experience in the area of Food Science, with an emphasis on Food Chemistry/Biochemistry, the Structural/Functional Characterization of Bioactive Proteins and Peptides, and Experimental Nutrition.
