Cristyn Davies is a research fellow in the specialty of child and adolescent health in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney Children’s Hospital Westmead Clinical School, NSW,
Australia. She is a researcher at the Wellbeing, Health, and Youth National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Centre of Research Excellence in Adolescent Health, and a member of the Sydney Infectious Diseases Institute at the University of Sydney. She is also an adjunct in the School of Social Sciences at Western Sydney University, NSW, Australia. She has expertise in child and adolescent health; vaccination for young people; vaccination delivery systems (standard and Microarray Patch technology); gender, sexuality, and sexual and reproductive health; health education; and comprehensive sexuality and
relationships education. She also specializes in knowledge translation, implementation science, and health and human rights. She has governance experience in the non-government sector, serving as the co-chair and board director for Twenty10 for eight years. She is committed to using evidence-based research to close the gap between research and its translation into policy and practice. She is the recipient of the Health and Wellbeing Award at the 2019 Honour Awards for her research in gender and sexuality diversity in children and adolescents, her service to the community, and her global advocacy.
