Ashim Kumar Nandi is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Barishal, Bangladesh. He has a background in Sociology (University of Dhaka) and Applied Social Research (Stockholm University). Nandi was the Chairman of the Department of Sociology and the Department of Social Work and convened two international conferences at the University of Barishal. His research interests include family sociology, public health, and social inequality.
