Author Biographies

Greta Dei Rossi received her Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. She is now pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. Her research interests focus on bone tissue engineering, specifically on bio-inspired materials and advanced fabrication strategies for bone repair.
After graduating from Politecnico di Milano, Prof. Laura Vergani began working as a researcher at the Department of Mechanics in 1983. In 1998, she was appointed as an associate professor, and in 2001 as a full professor, within the Faculty of Industrial Engineering. Her research activities are conducted in the field of fracture mechanics, including the study of biological and bio-inspired materials.
Federica Buccino is currently working as a Junior Research Assistant at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Politecnico di Milano. After a double degree path in collaboration with Alta Scuola Politecnica in Biomedical Engineering, she obtained her PhD cum laude in Mechanical Engineering (Politecnico di Milano). Her research interests focus on the current challenging field of bone fragility fractures.
