Dr. Qun-Jie Zhang is an Associate Researcher and a Master's Supervisor at the Genomics and Bioinformatics Research Center of South China Agricultural University. She received a bachelor's degree from the School of Life Sciences, Xiamen University; a master's degree from Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences; and a PhD from Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her research interests include plant whole-genome sequencing and comparative genomics research. The main research objects are the AA genome species of the rice genus and the Camellia genus species. She has led and completed one National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund project, co-led one Guangdong Province Science and Technology Plan project, and participated in more than 10 national-, provincial-, and ministerial-level projects. She has published nine SCI papers as the first author and co-authors. She obtained one software copyright and applied for three Chinese and international PCT invention patents, of which one has been authorized. Received the 2017 Guangdong Special Support Program for Outstanding Young Talents in Science and Technology Innovation.
