Panagiotis Mallioris holds a B.Sc. degree from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management,
School of Engineering, International Hellenic University (IHU). Currently, he
is a Ph.D candidate conducting his research, entitled, “Big Data Visualization and
Analysis Methodologies in Production Systems and Value Chains”. His work
focuses on big data analysis, artificial intelligence, data mining, and
predictive maintenance. He has supervised numerous undergraduate thesis
projects regarding predictive maintenance and artificial intelligence
algorithms in modern industry. Furthermore, Mr. Mallioris participated as a
research associate in a national-funded research project named Quality Control
of Production Processes by Using an Integrated Decision Support System (ProDSS).
Michalis Koutsiatzis graduated with a degree in Automation Engineering from the Department
of Industrial Engineering and Management of the International
Hellenic University (IHU) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Telecommunications
and Computer Networks at IHU. He has gained professional experience as an
engineer, specializing in the design and installation of industrial automation
panels and photovoltaic (PV) systems. During his
time as an automation engineer and through his diploma thesis work, Michalis has
been actively involved in programming industrial controllers (Programmable
Logic Controllers, PLCs) and developing visualization systems, including SCADA
and HMI platforms. His research interests also encompass information management
via the Internet of Things (IoT) and the configuration of industrial networks.
Dr. Christos Bialas is an Associate Professor at the Industrial Engineering and Management Department of the International Hellenic University. He completed his Diploma studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1991), M.Sc. studies in Engineering and Economics at the RWTH Aachen (1994), and Ph.D. studies in Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia (2018). He is an Associate Editor in the Frontiers in Industrial Engineering Journal, in the section on Industrial Informatics. His scientific interests include the fields of supply chain management, industrial informatics, information technology, ERP Systems, and digital/sustainable supply chains, and his areas of interest include digitalization and digital supply chains.
Dr. Dimitrios Bechtsis is an Associate Professor in the
Industrial Engineering and Management Department of the International Hellenic
University (IHU), Greece, in the area of industrial informatics. His scientific
interests indicatively cover the fields of Industrial Informatics, Preventive
Maintenance, Information Technology, Autonomous Vehicles, and Sustainable Supply
Chains. He has published his research work in many national and international
conference proceedings (more than 40 publications) and acknowledged peer
reviewed scientific journals (more than 25 publications), and as chapters in
scientific books (more than 15 publications). He has participated in more
than 35 national and European research projects (both as a project member and
as PI). He is a reviewer of scientific journals and is a member of several associations,
such as the Technical Chamber of Greece, the Association of
Mechanical-Electrical Engineers of Northern Greece, and the Greek Association of
Supply Chain Management.
Evangelos Diamantis is an experienced Automation and Control Engineer working at UTECO
S.A. During the last few years, he has played several demanding roles such as Sr.
Automation Engineer, Technical Manager, and Automation, Power and Motion Business
Unit Director, participating at the same time in a significant number of
research projects across the EU. He holds a B.Eng. in Automation & Control
Engineering from the Department of Automation and Control Engineering,
Central Greece University of Applied Sciences; an M.Sc. in Informatics with a
specialization in ML from the Department of Informatics, University of
Piraeus; an M.Sc. in Project Management with a specialization in PdM from the
Department of Industrial Management and Technology, University of Piraeus; and
an Executive M.B.A. from the Department of Business Administration, Athens University
of Economic and Business. His area of expertise is the application of ML and DNN models
to autonomous robotic systems, as well as the development of PdM models.
