Dr. Yang Gao is an Associate Professor and Director of the
Mineral Deposits Teaching and Research Section at the College of Earth
Sciences, Jilin University. He is also a Member of the Editorial Board of
Mineral Deposits and a Member of the China Committee of the World Union of
Young Geoscientists. He received his BS in Geology (2008) and his MSc in
Mineralogy, Petrology, and Ore Deposits (2011) from the China University of
Geosciences (Beijing), and his PhD in Mineralogy, Petrology, and Ore Deposits
from the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences (2014). His research areas
include geochronology and isotope geochemistry of endogenous metal deposits,
the evolution of ore-forming fluids and mineralization mechanisms of
hydrothermal deposits, genesis of igneous rocks related to endogenous metal
deposits, and evaluation of mineral resource potential.
