Chungkuk Jin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ocean Engineering and Marine Sciences at Florida Institute of Technology. He has researched on the fluid–structure interaction, hydroelasticity, renewable energy systems, marine infrastructures, digital twins, and machine learning.
Seong Hyeon Hong is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering, Florida Institute of Technology. He earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida in 2017, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida in 2013, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the Handong Global University in 2012. Seong Hyeon Hong’s research focuses on robotics, machine learning, optimization, and data analytics that involve surrogate modeling, intelligent
control, design optimization, visual servoing, and GPU/edge computing. His current and previous research projects include neural network-based model predictive control, fault mitigation of safety-critical systems, AI-based sensor fusion, path planning, data-driven modeling of microfluidic devices, surrogate-assisted optimization, intelligent health monitoring, and unmanned perception.
