Author Biographies

Anna Foka is a Professor in Digital Humanities at the Department of Archives, Libraries, and Museums and the Director of the Centre for Digital Humanities and Social Sciences at Uppsala University. Her research and teaching focuses on applications of Information Technology (including knowledge organisation, Linked Open Data, AI, among others) for the arts and humanities. Professor Foka is a member of AcademiaNet, the European Science Foundation, and the European Commission community of experts. Recent publications include Foka, A., Eklund, L. Gabriele Griffin is a Professor of Gender Research at the Centre for Gender Research, Uppsala University, Sweden, and Extraordinary Professor of Gender and Africa Studies at the University of the Free State, South Africa. Her research interests focus on women's cultural production, disciplinary issues in Gender Studies and in higher education, and on technology and innovation.
