Dr. Nicolas Velázquez-Limón completed his undergraduate studies in chemical industrial engineering at the Technological Institute of Los Mochis, his master's degree in chemical engineering sciences at the Technological Institute of Celaya, and his doctorate in chemical engineering (in the area of renewable energy sources and solar refrigeration) at the UNAM Energy Research Center. He has worked for around 6 years in the industry, and since joining the Engineering Institute of the UABC, he has developed several projects of linkage with the private initiative in the area of management, recovery, and efficient use of energy. He has also acted as a Consultant and taught several courses on the application of solar thermal energy and on saving and the efficient use of energy in the industry. He has held several academic positions (he is currently Head of the Center for Renewable Energy Studies). Currently, as a Researcher, he belongs to the Academic Body of the Environment (he is the Leader of the CA) and works in the field of research and development of clean energy technologies and applications of renewable energies, directing a group of five doctoral students, two master's students, and several social services students pursuing mechanics, chemistry, electronics, and computer engineering.
