Dr. Ravi Lonkani is an Associate Professor in the Department of Finance at Chiang Mai University Business School. He earned his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and D.B.A. in Business Administration from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, in 1985 and 2000, respectively, and completed his M.B.A. in Business Administration at Chiang Mai University in 1993. Throughout his career, Dr. Lonkani has received numerous awards and honors, including the Best Independent Advisor Award (2019, 2021), the Best Ph.D. Research Advisor Award (2018), and the SET Research Award (2016, 2018). His research focuses on areas such as IPOs, Analysts’ Recommendations, Behavioral Finance, Insurance, Corporate Governance, Gender Diversity, and Internet Banking. Additionally, he has authored several finance textbooks, including works on Derivatives, Fixed Income Securities, Feasibility Studies, and a pocketbook on financial crises.
Thanu Prasertsoontorn is a Lecturer at the Department of Finance, Chiang Mai University Business School. His research interests are diverse and include market anomalies, corporate finance, and corporate governance, with a particular focus on the Thai financial market. His current working papers explore issues such as leadership structure in family firms, separation of CEO duality, and the trading behaviors of institutional and individual investors.
