Dr. Ping Wang is a Professor at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He studied at the College of Engineering, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), from 1998 to 2000. He received a PhD in Hydrogeology from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2008. From 2014 to 2015, he was a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences, the University of Arizona. He was the project leader of the Russian–Chinese (NSFC-RSF) cooperation project “Streamflow and groundwater responses to climate changes: insights from dry Chinese inland to humid Russian Subarctic basins”. His research interests include Arctic hydrogeology, dryland ecohydrology and surface–groundwater interactions.
