Xiang Ding is an Associate Professor at the School of Transportation and Logistics Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology. He holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Engineering from Tsinghua University, as well as a PhD in Philosophy from the University of New South Wales. Ding's research focuses on materials science, including surface engineering via physical vapor deposition, thermal spraying, and cold spraying technologies. He has been the principal investigator of a project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as of several other enterprise-sponsored projects.

Qun Wang is an Associate Professor with a Bachelor's degree in Thermal Processing Technology and Equipment from Anhui Mechanical and Electrical University (1993-1997), a Master's degree in Vehicle Operation Engineering from Wuhan University of Technology (2000-2003), and a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Hunan University (2004-2011). He has worked as a Lecturer and Associate Professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Hunan University, and has also been a Postdoctoral Fellow in Mechanical Engineering at Hunan University and a Visiting Scholar at Stony Brook University of New York. His research interests include the friction, wear, and corrosion properties of materials, micro arc oxidation, thermal spraying technology, cold spraying technology, and laser cladding. He is a member of the Heat Treatment Branch, Powder Metallurgy Branch, and Friction and Wear Branch of Hunan Mechanical Engineering Society, and has received several awards, including the 2020 Zhejiang Science and Technology Progress Second Prize, the 2020 China Non-Ferrous Metal Industry Science and Technology Second Prize, the Second Prize of Scientific and Technological Achievements of the Ministry of Education, and multiple excellence awards as a reviewer for various journals.
