Dr. Clinton Jones is a Professor in the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology, Center for Veterinary Health Sciences (OSU). He completed his PhD from the University of Kansas in May 1984 and then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Linus Pauling Institute of Science and Medicine (Palo Alto, CA) Laboratory of Viral Carcinogenesis (June 1984–May 1987). Prior to arriving at OSU, he was an assistant professor in the Microbiology Department at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and a professor at the University of Nebraska. His research interests are focused on how Bovine Herpes Virus 1 (BoHV-1) and Herpes Simplex Virus 1 (HSV-1) establish, maintain, and reactivate from latency in neurons.
