Author Biographies

Ramakrishnan Subramanian received his M.Sc. in Automation and Safety from the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2023. He is currently working as a Scientific Associate at the University of Applied Sciences Ostwestfalen-Lippe, Lemgo, Germany. Mr. Subramanian completed his master's thesis on the development of distance determination algorithms using LiDAR timestamps at the Fraunhofer Institute for Microelectronic Circuits and Systems, Duisburg. His research interests primarily focus on addressing challenges in the field of autonomous driving.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Ulrich Büker heads the Intelligent Systems research group at inIT - Institute for Industrial Information Technology at the University of Applied Sciences Ostwestfalen-Lippe, Lemgo, Germany. His research focuses on application-oriented projects in the field of autonomous systems, in particular autonomous driving. Prof Büker has extensive industry experience and has previously held senior management positions in the automotive industry, including Head of Global Advanced Development for Autonomous Driving at Aptiv and Head of Advanced Electronics Development at Hella. Prof. Büker holds a degree in Computer Science and completed his PhD and Habilitation at the University of Paderborn with a focus on Image Understanding and Active Vision.
