Daniela Silva Canella is a Professor at the Department of Applied Nutrition, Institute of Nutrition, Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. She graduated with a B.S. in Nutrition from Universidade Federal de Goiás in 2007. She received her Master's and Ph.D. in Public Health Nutrition both from Universidade de São Paulo in 2011 and 2014, respectively. She completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Food, Nutrition and Health at the Universidade Federal de São Paulo in 2016. Her expertise includes research in Public Health Nutrition and at present, her research interests lie in themes within the areas of determinants and consequences of obesity, food consumption, food environment, and food and nutrition policies.
