Liping Ban is a Professor at the College of Grassland Science and Technology at China Agricultural University. She received her B.S. from the College of Horticulture, Inner Mongolia Agricultural University in 1998 and earned a Ph.D. in Entomology from China Agricultural University in 2004. She joined China Agricultural University in 2004 as an Assistant Professor, was appointed as an Associate Professor in 2007, and was promoted to Professor in 2020. Her research focuses on pest management and biocontrol of pasture pests and covers fundamental laboratory studies to understand insect behavior and biology, field-based population studies, and the integration of pest management strategies and biological control of pests, including grasshopper, aphids, thrips, etc., on grassland and in forage production systems.
