Megan A. Rizzo received her Ph.D. degree from University of
Pittsburgh, in 1996. She worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Vanderbilt
University from 2000 to 2005. She was an Assistant Professor Department of
Physiology, University of Maryland School of Medicine from 2005 to 2013. Since
2013, she has been an Associate Professor. Her research interests mainly focus
on Insulin secretion from the pancreas, In vivo imaging of vascular smooth
muscle cell contraction, and Development of optical biosensors.
