I hold a PhD in Urban and Transport Planning from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Currently, I serve as a postdoctoral researcher at the Geography and Spatial Analysis Lab of NTUA and hold the position of associate editor at the European Journal of Geography, a distinguished geographical journal affiliated with the European Association of Geographers (EUROGEO). Additionally, I am an associate at the General Secretariat of Spatial Planning and Urban Environment within the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy. My research portfolio focuses primarily on spatial analysis, GIS,urban and transport planning, composite indicators, data analytics and walkability or active travel studies. Recently, I have been involved in the formulation of the Walkable Athens strategy and the establishment of the Walkability Observatory for the City of Athens, in collaboration with the Sustainable Urban Mobility Unit at NTUA. I also provide my expertise to local authorities (e.g. the municipality of Kissamos, the region of Crete, the Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy etc.) on accessibility, mobility and urban regeneration strategies. I am very committed to advancing the field of urban and transport planning/geography and welcome opportunities to collaborate on research initiatives and consultancy projects aimed at creating more livable, inclusive and sustainable societies. Feel free to connect with me to explore potential synergies in these domains.
