Dr. Alberto Alfonso Aguilar-Lasserre
obtained his master’s degree in Science of Industrial Engineering from the Instituto
Tecnológico de Orizaba and a Ph.D. in Industrial Systems from the Institut
National Polytechnique de Toulouse in France. He is currently a Professor of
Engineering Science in the Postgraduate School at the Instituto Tecnológico de Orizaba. He is also an active member of the board of the Mexican Society for
Artificial Intelligence (SMIA). His research interests are the application of
decision support systems, genetic algorithms, fuzzy systems, and artificial
neural networks.
Dr. Gustavo Arroyo-Figueroa completed his
Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Monterrey Institute of Technology. Currently, he is the head of the area of Information Technologies at Instituto Nacional de
Electricidad y Energías Limpias in Mexico, as well as a researcher there. He is a member of the National
Research System of Mexico (SNI), a member of the board of the Mexican Society of Artificial
Intelligence (SMIA), and a national member of SC D2 CIGRE (Information Systems
and Communications). In 2022, he received the CIGRE Technical Council Award for
his active participation in the technical work activities of the Study
Committee D2 Information System and Telecommunications. His research includes
the development of information systems and applied artificial intelligence for power
systems.
