Dr. Lene Juel Kjeldsen is Head of Research and Chief Pharmacist of a hospital pharmacy in Denmark. She has conducted numerous national research projects in collaboration with clinical pharmacists at hospitals throughout Denmark. She graduated with a MSc (pharm) degree from Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1997 and with a PhD in quality use of medicine from the Department of Medicine, University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, in 2002. Lene's professional career has primarily focused on research and development within the area of clinical pharmacy in all sectors and, most recently, sustainability. Her areas of interest include practice research testing clinical pharmacy interventions, medication adherence, drug-related problems, medication reviews, methodology and, most recently, sustainability. Lene had a programme management role during the establishment of the Danish Medicines Council with a special focus on cost analyses and price negotiation.
