Dr. Liyu Chen received her bachelor's in science from the College of Resources and Environment, South China Agricultural University. From April to August 2014, she was a visiting scholar at the University of Hawaii. In June 2017, she received a Ph.D. in agronomy from the College of Resources and Environment, South China Agricultural University. From July 2017 to July 2018, she worked as a research assistant at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. From August 2018 to January 2022, she conducted postdoctoral research at the School of Life Sciences, Guangzhou University. Since January 2022, she has been an associate professor at the School of Life Sciences, Guangzhou University. Her research mainly focuses on the molecular mechanisms of soybean nutrient efficiency and yield formation.

Prof. Dr. Fanjiang Kong graduated from Hokkaido University, Japan, with a Ph.D. in Agronomy. He was a former researcher at the Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, from 2010 to 2017. Currently, he is a professor at Guangzhou University. Prof. Dr. Fanjiang Kong is the recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, the Guangdong Ding Ying Science and Technology Award, and holds the title of Outstanding Talent in Guangzhou. He is also the head of major projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the deputy director of the Molecular Genetics and Evolution Research Center of Guangzhou University, and the deputy director of the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Plant Adaptation and Molecular Design. He is a member of the Cell Biology Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Botany and a member of the Flowering, Maturation, and Aging Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Plant Physiology and Plant Molecular Biology.
Prof. Dr. Baohui Liu graduated from the College of Agriculture of Northeast Agricultural University in July 1987 with a bachelor's degree in Agronomy, then received his Ph.D. in Agronomy from the College of Agriculture of Northeast Agricultural University in June 2003. From July 2003 to August 2008, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the College of Agriculture of Hokkaido University in Japan. From August 2008 to September 2016, he served as a researcher at the Northeast Institute of Geography and Agricultural Ecology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since 2016, he has been a professor at the School of Life Sciences of Guangzhou University, the leader of the first-level discipline of biology, the person in charge of the doctoral program in biology, and the director of the Molecular Genetics and Evolution Innovation Research Center. He is also a review expert of the Life Science Division of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
