Vatanavongs Ratanavaraha is a Professor at the School of Transportation Engineering, Institute of Engineering, Suranaree University of Technology. Moreover, he serves as a Head of Research Group of Transportation Safety Technology and Management at the same university. He earned his B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, M.Eng. in Transportation Engineering from Asian Institute of Technology, and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University. He then worked as a Senior Fellow at the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), Advanced Higher Education, UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF), United Kingdom. His research keywords include public transport, light rail transit, and passengers.
