Henrique Roman-Ramos
Dr. Henrique Roman-Ramos is a professor in the postgraduate programme in medicine at Universidade Nove de Julho. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Universidade de Santo Amaro and a PhD in Biochemistry from Universidade de São Paulo. During his PhD, he developed recombinant vaccines against Schistosoma mansoni. In his postdoctoral research, he contributed to the development of a potential antielapid serum through genetic immunisation. Currently, Dr. Roman-Ramos researches elapid toxins, with a focus on Brazilian coral snakes.
