Dr. Sajid Rashid Ahmad is currently working as a principal at the College of Earth and Environment Science (CEES), University of the Punjab in Pakistan. He secured his master’s and doctorate degree from the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He is a research-oriented professional with more than 45 referred articles published in national and international journals and conferences, and he has presented more than 50 papers in national and international conferences. For the last 20 years, he has been serving academics and industries in planning, coordination, supervision, evaluation, and data interpretation, with a primary focus on GIS, remote sensing, and environmental sciences during the last 6 years. He is a highly creative and thoughtful problem solver with an outstanding teaching and research track record. He supervised 40 master’s level research theses and organized 11, and he has participated in 45 workshops, training courses, and conferences. He has proven skills in the use of the latest technology in instructing and advising students.
Dr. Naeem Shahid is an environmentalist with a specialization in ecotoxicology. His research interests include the adaptation of macroinvertebrates (physiological/genetic) to pesticides and associated fitness costs. To understand the effects of pesticides under different field scenarios, he is focusing on mixture toxicity, multiple stressors, and the long-term/delayed effects of pesticides. Furthermore, he is working to identify the association between agrochemicals and the risk of a parasitic disease, Schistosomiasis.
